Gymnasts can train 5 hours a day, go to school, and still be home for dinner.
In order to provide training options, and a more family-friendly schedule for our competitive gymnasts, we have partnered with Jefferson County Public Schools to offer our school program workouts through the Jeffco Options Program. The Options Program offers a shortened academic day that provides core academic classes (including reading, language arts, history, math and science) and accepts the gymnast’s training time as their elective classes. Students in our school program group train at the gym first thing in the morning, attend school mid-morning through mid-afternoon, and return to the gym for an afternoon workout that finishes between 4 pm and 6:30 pm dependent on their level. Gymnasts in this program are often home in time for dinner with their families, which is a rarity in high-level gymnastics! We are thrilled to offer a program that keeps some family-time in tact.
The schools currently supporting our schedule are: Stober North Elementary School, Manning Middle School, Everitt Middle School, Drake Middle School, and Two Roads Charter School. All of these schools are public, and enrollment procedures follow the Jefferson County Schools Choice Enrollment process.
Current school program schedules are available on the schedules page. Additional information may be obtained by calling the gym office.
In addition to our School Program, 5280 has a homeschool program that allows kids to complete their entire workout in the morning before the gym gets crowded with afternoon classes.
The homeschool group trains Monday through Friday mornings. Check the Schedules page for a current schedule.
